Man Utd ‘Make Contact’ with Xavi as Potential Erik ten Hag Replacement Despite Brentford Win

According to reports, Manchester United has made two recent attempts to contact former Barcelona manager Xavi in an attempt to replace Erik ten Hag. Even though United recently defeated Brentford 2-1, concerns about Ten Hag’s future still exist. The 44-year-old Xavi, who has been unemployed since leaving Barcelona at the end of the previous season, has been contacted by the Red Devils as a potential option, according to the Daily Mail.

According to reports, Xavi, who had a successful managerial career with Barcelona, has no interest in coaching in Spain once more. If Ten Hag’s time at Old Trafford ends, Manchester United seems to be considering him as a possible solution due to his availability and reputation as a skilled manager.

Ten Hag’s Reaction

After the Brentford game, Ten Hag responded to the rumors about his future while being committed to his work. “This is all I’m thinking about. I am letting go of what everyone is writing. I can handle this.” He stressed the value of upholding a strong work ethic and conveyed confidence in his team’s performance.

“I am aware of their exceptional skill as players. We will score goals and bring in victories if you are committed. That is the expectation of all.”

Despite Ten Hag’s attempts to stabilize the team, United’s administration appears to be leaving their options open as the team navigates a difficult season, including the potential for a managerial change.
