Manchester City Eye Ruben Amorim as Potential Successor to Pep Guardiola

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Sporting Lisbon, is apparently being considered by Manchester City as a potential replacement for Pep Guardiola, whose tenure at the team is up in the air after 2025.

Since joining Manchester City in 2016, Pep Guardiola has been the main architect of the team’s success, leading it to several Premier League championships and a historic Treble in the 2022–2023 campaign. Guardiola’s long-term future at the team is uncertain, though, as the manager hinted that “anything can happen,” implying that he may decide to stay longer or leave when his contract expires in 2025.

Rueben Amorim as a Replacing

Ruben Amorim is apparently being considered by City as a possible successor as they get ready for the prospect of Guardiola leaving. Amorim, who is presently with Sporting Lisbon, is being pursued by both Manchester United and City due to his outstanding work at the Portuguese team. In the event that Guardiola decides to depart, Amorim might be a part of a Sporting Lisbon-inspired reorganization at City, giving the defending Premier League winners a fresh outlook.
