Max Eberl Defends Vincent Kompany After Defeat to Barcelona
Following Bayern Munich’s 4-1 Champions League loss to Barcelona, board member Max Eberl has responded to critics by praising head coach Vincent Kompany and denouncing those who are trying to “divide” the team. Following Bayern’s consecutive European losses to Aston Villa and Barcelona, which have sparked concerns about the Bundesliga powerhouse’s play and defensive shortcomings, Eberl responded sharply.
“Get your coaching license, then you can do it better!” Eberl said bluntly in response to questions about Bayern’s defensive shortcomings following the crushing loss to Barcelona.
“It’s so easy to blame the defense when we concede goals. You want to split us apart, and that’s precisely what it is. We will not permit that.”
The European Struggles of Bayern
Under new coach Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich, a consistent Champions League competitor, had high expectations going into the 2024–25 campaign. Harry Kane, the team’s star striker, has made an impression at home, including scoring four goals in a 9-2 thumping of Dinamo Zagreb. Kane joined the team hoping to win his first major championship. Their campaign has been marred by back-to-back losses in Europe, though, with Raphinha’s hat-trick for Barcelona further highlighting Bayern’s defensive weaknesses.
Bayern gibi bir takımın harika kadrolarını zayıf hocalara emanet etme alışkanlığına anlam veremiyorum
Formda Barçanın karşısında Kompany nin hatası pekte yok
