The FIA has announced that it is continuing to investigate McLaren’s rear wing design following the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
In response to questions regarding McLaren’s controversial rear wing design after the Baku GP, the FIA stated that the data collected during the race is still being analyzed and potential future measures are being considered. According to Erik van Haren’s report, the FIA responded as follows: “The FIA closely monitors the flexibility of the bodywork on all cars and reserves the right to ask teams to make changes at any point during the season. However, if a team successfully passes all deflection tests and fully complies with the regulations and technical directives, it is considered to be in full compliance, and no further action is taken.”
“The FIA is currently reviewing the data and additional evidence obtained at the Baku GP and is evaluating any measures that may be necessary in the future. This is part of the standard process, and the FIA retains the authority to make adjustments during the season if needed.”
