Messi’s harsh words to the referee: “You are a real pain in the neck”

Inter Miami’s world-renowned star Lionel Messi insulted the referee Ramy Touchan after his team’s 1-1 draw with Charlotte.

Inter Miami, the U.S. team where Lionel Messi plays, hosted Charlotte in the MLS. The match, held at Chase Stadium, ended in a 1-1 draw. After a goalless first half, the visiting team took the lead in the 57th minute with a goal by Karol Swiderski. Messi equalized in the 67th minute.

“YOU ARE A REAL PAIN IN THE NECK” AND THEN CURSED

According to a report from Argentine press TN, Lionel Messi couldn’t control his temper after the match and insulted the referee directly. The report claims that Messi pointed his finger at referee Ramy Touchan and shouted, “You are a real pain in the neck” before swearing at him.
Despite this draw, Inter Miami still leads the MLS with 65 points, 8 points ahead of its closest rival.
