Mikel Arteta Provides Update on Kai Havertz’s Head Injury
Concerns over Kai Havertz’s head injury sustained during Arsenal’s 1-0 Champions League loss to Inter Milan have been addressed by manager Mikel Arteta.
Havertz and Yann Bisseck of Inter clashed in an aerial duel in the closing seconds of the game at San Siro. Havertz had a serious head injury that resulted in extensive bleeding because both players were concentrating on the ball when the collision happened. Because of the extent of the injuries, he was later replaced.
Arteta’s Declaration
Regarding Havertz’s health and availability for forthcoming games, Arteta said:
“Kai Havertz had a big cut and hopefully he will be OK for the weekend.”
Arsenal’s next Premier League game is scheduled to take place against Chelsea. Arteta’s remarks imply hope for Havertz’s recuperation, suggesting that the forward might be able to play in the next match. Prior to the match, the squad will keep a careful eye on his development.
