MotoGP puts Barcelona GP tickets on sale with proceeds going to Valencia
All proceeds from the MotoGP finale in Barcelona will go to those affected by the floods in Valencia.A limited number of tickets are on sale for the MotoGP season finale in Barcelona, with all proceeds going to the flood victims in Valencia.
Ticket prices for the event, officially called the Barcelona Solidarity Grand Prix, start at 55.30 euros and go up to 108.50 euros for the “Excellence” stands, according to a statement by the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
“The event, whose profits will go to those affected by DANA, offers a wide range of tickets at attractive prices to promote solidarity,” the statement said.
“The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has put tickets on sale for the Gran Premio Solidario Motul de Barcelona, which will be held at its Catalan venues from 15 to 17 November. Tickets are offered at very attractive prices to encourage donations in solidarity and can be purchased from the Circuit’s official website.”
Barcelona has not officially announced the number of tickets on sale. With the event confirmation coming just a week before the on-track action, it will not be possible to provide the same number of seats for spectators as the Catalan Grand Prix or Formula 1’s Spanish Grand Prix at the same track. Those events typically attract more than 130,000 spectators on Sunday.The Barcelona circuit’s website shows that a total of 18,992 tickets are on sale at nine different locations. If all the tickets are sold, it will generate around 1.5 million euros.
The Barcelona GP will decide the 2024 MotoGP champion, with Jorge Martin currently leading the standings by 24 points over Francesco Bagnaia heading into the final. A total of 37 points will be awarded across the sprint and main race.
Tickets purchased for the Valencia race will not be valid in Barcelona. Valencia ticket holders have the option to request a refund from the track or transfer their ticket to 2025 from November 11.
