Mourinho’s New Tactic

In Fenerbahce, Jose Mourinho continues to train his players on different formations. The Portuguese coach is teaching the requirements of a three-center-back system to his students during training.

Fenerbahce is preparing for the match against Samsunspor under the guidance of head coach Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese coach wants his team to be able to implement multiple systems simultaneously. In addition to the four-man defense, Fenerbahce is also preparing for the three-center-back system.

With the inclusion of Filip Kostic and Sofyan Amrabat, the squad depth of the yellow-blues has reached the desired level. Fenerbahce, with a roster that offers alternatives in every position, is expected to employ different systems during the intense match schedule.

Mourinho’s ideal lineup for flawlessly executing the three-man defense will become clearer over time. Work is underway for a scenario where Caglar Soyuncu, Alexander Djiku, and Oosterwolde are all on the field at the same time.

The Portuguese coach plans to entrust the left flank to Filip Kostic while considering giving Osayi-Samuel a chance on the right flank.

In midfield, Mourinho does not want to disrupt the partnership of Amrabat, Fred, and Szymanski in the initial phase, while he will frequently give the jersey to İsmail Yuksek to ensure the national player does not lose match rhythm.

In the attacking line, a two-striker system is being tested in training. It is learned that Allan Saint-Maximin will also be used at the front from time to time to be more effective in fast attacks.
