NK CELJE – BASAKSEHIR: 3-0 (FIRST HALF ENDED)

NK Celje faces Basaksehir in the third week of the UEFA Conference League. The critical match is being played at Celje Stadium. In the second week of the UEFA Conference League, Basaksehir, who played away against the Slovenian team Celje, made three changes to the starting lineup compared to their first match against Rapid Wien, one of which was forced due to injury. Coach Cagdas Atan replaced injured Serdar Gurler, Onur Ergün, and Kemen with Leo Duarte, Omer Ali Sahiner, and Dimitris Pelkas in the starting eleven.

The orange-blue club’s bench included Volkan Babacan, Muhammed Sengezer, Onur Ergün, Lucas Lima, Kemen, Berkay Ozcan, Philippe Keny, Hamza Gureler, Metin Emre Karaal, Emre Kaplan, and Davidson. Basaksehir’s squad did not include Serdar Gurler, who is still injured, and new signings Omer Faruk Beyaz and Djalo, who are not listed in the UEFA squad.

BASAKSEHIR PLAYERS WEAR BLACK BANDS ON THE FIELD
Basaksehir players wore black armbands during the Celje match in solidarity with the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) following a terrorist attack on its Kahramankazan facility.

AMBASSADOR AYLİN TAŞHAN ALSO IN THE STANDS
Turkey’s Ambassador to Ljubljana, Aylin Tashan, also attended the match between Celje and Basaksehir from the stands. She watched the game from the VIP section alongside Goksel Gumusdag, the president of Istanbul Basaksehir Football Club, and other club officials.

LOW ATTENDANCE AT THE MATCH
The match between Celje and Basaksehir saw low attendance from fans. Approximately 4,000 spectators were present at Celje Stadium, which has a capacity of 13,500, leaving a large portion of the stands empty.

Celje fans lit fireworks outside the stadium as the match began.

RAIN IN CELJE
Prior to the match played by the Istanbul team against Celje, there was significant rainfall in the city. The rain started last night and continued throughout the day, intensifying at match time.
