Lonnie Walker IV just signed to play for the Zalgiris Kaunas in the EuroLeague. But two NBA teams are already considering signing him later this season.According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics are the two teams who have shown interest in signing Walker later this season.
It was previously reported that Walker’s contract with Zalgiris has a buyout clause that an NBA team can activate before Feb. 18.Walker last played for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. He averaged 9.7 points, 1.3 assists, and 2.2 rebounds per game in the 2023-24 season.
Before he signed a deal with the Lithuanian club, Walker had a one-year contract with the Boston Celtics.
When the Celtics were unable to include Walker on their roster, the 25-year-old guard opted for the EuroLeague, which he believes is a better chance for him to impress NBA teams, as reported by Stein.
