In the sprint match run at 17:00 TSI, McLaren driver Lando Norris won the race in front of his teammate Oscar Piastri.
However, after the sprint struggle, heavy rains began to fall on Interlagos, and the FIA allowed the teams to close their garages as the rain intensified.
