Galatasaray, aiming for the championship in the Super Lig this season, is set to part ways with two players. Starting the season with a deep squad for both league and European competitions, the team will bid farewell to two stars.
According to Fanatik, as manager Okan Buruk finalizes his game strategy and preferred squad, Victor Nelsson and Kerem Demirbay, who have not found regular playing time, will be leaving.
NELSSON HAD EXPRESSED FRUSTRATION
At the start of last season, Nelsson openly criticized Buruk’s decisions during his time on the bench. This season, he has found himself mostly sidelined. The 26-year-old center-back has played only two full matches in the Trendyol Super Lig and accumulated just 220 minutes across all appearances.
KEREM DEMİRBAY’S PERFORMANCE DECLINE
Galatasaray’s recent success and the strong midfield partnership of Torreira and Sara have left Kerem Demirbay on the bench. In the Besiktas match, Demirbay struggled with significant passing errors and defensive lapses after coming on as a substitute, which could lead to his departure.
Preparing for key transfers both in the winter and the upcoming summer window, Galatasaray is reportedly set to part ways with these two stars.
