Our para shooter Aysel Özgan won a silver medal

At the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, national athlete Aysel Özgan won a silver medal in the women’s P2 10-meter air pistol SH 1 category in shooting.

In the para shooting competitions held at the Chateauroux Shooting Center, national athletes Aysel Özgan and Ayşegül Pehlivanlar competed in the final.

Aysel Özgan scored 231.1 points to finish the final, securing the silver medal. Ayşegül Pehlivanlar finished fourth in the Paralympic Games in this category with a score of 190.9 points.

In the P2 10-meter air pistol SH 1 category, the gold medal was won by Sarah Javanmardi from Iran, and the bronze medal was claimed by Rubina Francis from India.

Turkey increased its medal tally in the games to 7, with 1 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
