Phil Foden Explains Struggles Early in 2024-25 Season

With an incredible 27 goals in all competitions the previous season, Phil Foden set new records and won the PFA Player of the Year award. The teenage Manchester City player also became the youngest player to win six Premier League titles, marking a significant career milestone. His accomplishments also carried over to the international scene, when he played a significant role in England’s run to the 2024 Euro final.

But with just 190 Premier League minutes played and one game started, Foden has had a difficult start to the 2024–25 campaign. Speaking about his difficulties, Foden revealed that he returned to City a little worn out due to the demands of the previous season’s hectic schedule.

“There were a ton of games last year. I gave it everything I had. It’s typical for me to feel a little worn out when I return.”
