Phil Parkinson Rules Out Requesting More Transfers from Reynolds & McElhenney

Despite Jack Marriott’s sad injury, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has indicated that he will not be requesting further transfer monies from club co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Marriott injured his leg during training, which will keep him out of the game for a long time. He has scored four goals this season.

Wrexham and other League One teams are able to sign free agents through the January transfer window. Although it is possible to find a replacement for Marriott, Parkinson has stated that he is happy with the team as it is and has no plans to add any more players.

Parkinson’s Confidence in Current Squad

Following Wrexham’s 1-0 win over Rotherham, Parkinson praised the team’s depth and the performances of strikers Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer. He emphasized that the team has enough options to cope with Marriott’s absence, saying:

“We have got an outstanding player in Mulls [Paul Mullin] whose performance was brilliant, and I thought Ollie was tremendous. Ollie worked tirelessly for the team and kept the ball at the top of the pitch, which is so important. We have got options, and if someone gets injured, another player gets the opportunity to step up.”
