Ayhancan Guven finished the season on the podium in the NLS
Competing in three different series this season, DTM, IGTC and NLS, our national athlete Ayhancan Guven took to the track again with Manthey Racing’s legendary “Grello” nicknamed Porsche 911 GT3-R.
Starting from the last place in the GT Sprint branch at the FIA Motorsport Games and winning the gold medal for our country by coming first, Ayhancan Guven continued his strong form this weekend.
Morris Schuring, who was at the wheel in the first part of the race, gave a good drive on the challenging Nurburgring track and handed the car over to Ayhancan in fourth place. At that time, there was more than a minute difference between them and the leader.
Ayhancan Guven, who then took the wheel, closed this gap with his extraordinary stint and brought his team to the lead before the pit stop.
After the pit stops, the team dropped to second place and the race ended in this order.
Ayhancan and Morris passed the chequered flag in second place and finished the season on the podium.
