Barcelona Demand Explanation from RFEF Over Lewandowski’s Disallowed Goal
The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) is being questioned by Barcelona about Robert Lewandowski’s goal that was disallowed during their 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad.
VAR disallowed Lewandowski’s goal in the 13th minute of the game due to an alleged offside. Barcelona has since questioned the ruling, speculating that the VAR system may have made a mistake. Relevo claims that Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, was clearly outraged by the verdict and remarked, “It can’t be.” Hansi Flick, the manager, also voiced his displeasure, telling referee Cuadra Fernandez that he thought it was the “wrong decision.”
Consequences of the Failure
Due to their defeat, Barcelona was unable to increase their lead at the top of La Liga by nine points. With reference to the goal that was disallowed, the club now anticipates a swift answer from the RFEF.
