Bayern Munich Fans’ Boycott Forces Ticket Price Reduction

Bayern Munich supporters have successfully pushed for reduced ticket prices for their upcoming Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk. Known for advocating affordable football access, Bayern fans protested against Shakhtar’s initial pricing by organizing a boycott.

Originally, Shakhtar priced standing tickets at €52 and seated tickets at €105. Bayern fans responded with a coordinated boycott, leading to a significant drop in ticket requests—from 55,000 to just 19,000. The collective action prompted Shakhtar to halve the prices to €26 for standing and €45 for seated tickets.
