BRUNDLE: “NORRIS LACKS THE ‘KILLING INSTINCT’ COMPARED TO VERSTAPPEN”
Martin Brundle thinks Lando Norris doesn’t have the ‘killing instinct’ to fight Max Verstappen.
Lando Norris started the race in Interlagos from the pole position but finished the race in sixth place.Championship rival Max Verstappen won the race, which he started from the 17th place, by dominating it.
This result increased the Dutch driver’s leadership in the championship to 62 points and took the chance to guarantee the championship in Las Vegas.Speaking after the Brazilian GP, Brundle stated that the McLaren pilot should improve himself in every field.
“Lando should definitely improve himself,” Brundle told Sky Sports News.
“Of course he’s had some great victories, but he lacks the experience of fighting for a world championship, and I think that’s what he’s going to learn this year.”
“I think he lacks the ‘kill instinct’ against Max, who we know can be brutal in the on-track struggle.”
“However, Lando will learn a lot from this season. Max’s victory in 7 of the first 10 races made him truly unattainable,” he said.
According to Brundle, Norris needs more than a miracle to become a world champion this season.
“Lando had to get some points from Max in every race and have a few pilots among them,” Brundle said.
“However, after Brazil, this adventure largely ended, of course, if strange things do not happen in the last races,” he said.
