Dylan Osetkowski set to make his debut with Germany in EuroBasket qualifiers
Almost 10 days before the next installment of the 2025 EuroBasket qualifiers, the German Basketball Federation has announced the 19-man preliminary squad picked by new head coach Alex Mumbru.
The new addition is Unicaja Malaga big man Dylan Osetkowski, who had started his professional carrer in Germany with Ulm and Goettingen between 2019 and 2021. Born in San Diego, California, the 28-year-old is set to make his debut with the reigning world champs in the upcming games against Sweden on November 22 and 25.
The list also features Tibor Pleiss, who last played for Germany in 2016 and is now competing in Italy with Trapani.

There are three EuroLeague players on that list — Bayern Munich’s Andreas Obst and ALBA Berlin’s Luis Olinde and Jonas Mattisseck. On the other hand, Partizan’s Issac Bonga will be absent.
Germany are tied at 1-1 with Montenegro, Bulgaria and Sweden in Group D of the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers. The top three out of the four countries will clinch a berth in next summer’s tournament.
Their first game against Sweden in Stockholm on November 22 coincides with Bayern’s home game against FC Barcelona. However, there will be no conflicting schedules regarding the outung in Heidelberg on November 25.
