Eda Erdem Dundar: “We broke down the opponent’s block!”

After Fenerbahce Medicana’s straight-sets victory over Galatasaray Daikin in the 6th week of the Vodafone Sultanlar League, team captain Eda Erdem Dundar shared her thoughts.

Highlighting October 29th, Republic Day, Eda said, “It is a great honor for us to crown this meaningful day, celebrating the 101st anniversary of our Republic, with a victory. I believe we put on a good performance, and I also congratulate Galatasaray for their strong play. We remember Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and his comrades with gratitude and respect. The Republic he entrusted to us has given women so many opportunities to succeed, and we are truly grateful.”

Commenting on the match itself, Eda noted, “Each set was neck and neck until the 10-point mark, but after 15 points, the momentum shifted in our favor. We served well and made the most of balls coming from our defense. Everyone attacked beautifully, we broke down the opponent’s block, and we managed to make some great defensive plays.”
