Furkan Korkmaz Returns to Action; AS Monaco Wins Away at Gravelines

In the seventh week of the French Basketball League LNB Pro A, AS Monaco took on Gravelines-Dunkerque on the road.

Monaco, with a strong defensive performance in the second half, secured a 74-83 victory, led by the efforts of Elie Okobo and Matthew Strazel. National player Furkan Korkmaz, representing Monaco, returned to action and contributed 8 points and 3 rebounds in 16 minutes of play.

With this win, AS Monaco marked their fifth victory in seven league games. Up next, Monaco will face Anadolu Efes in the EuroLeague this week.

For Gravelines, Glynn Watson scored 16 points with 3 rebounds and 2 assists, Vafessa Fofana added 15 points and 8 rebounds, and Thomas Cornely finished with 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists.

On the Monaco side, Elie Okobo scored 14 points with 3 assists, Matthew Strazel also contributed 14 points along with 1 rebound and 4 assists, Mike James added 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist, while Mam Jaiteh recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
