Genoa has reportedly started discussions to sign free agent Dele Alli as a replacement for the injured Ruslan Malinovskyi.
Genoa, who are currently struggling in Serie A, are looking to strengthen their squad following the injury of Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi. The Italian club is considering bringing in former Beşiktaş player Dele Alli, according to reports from the Italian media. Genoa had initially been in talks with Antonio Candreva, but have now shifted their focus to the 28-year-old Englishman. Malinovskyi suffered an ankle injury in a match against Venezia, prompting Genoa to search for alternatives.
Although the club had been close to signing Candreva, concerns over his fit with the team led Genoa’s management to pause negotiations.
His Last Team Was Beşiktaş
As a result, the club added Dele Alli to their transfer list, following the expiration of his contract with Everton in June 2024.
Dele Alli played in 194 Premier League matches for Tottenham and Everton, registering 51 goals and 34 assists. However, his last official appearance came with Beşiktaş on February 26, 2023. Genoa, who have only collected five points in their first six Serie A matches and have lost their last three, are aiming to bolster their squad and reverse their poor start with this potential signing.
