Graham Potter Makes First Return to Chelsea Since 2023 Sacking
Graham Potter returned to Stamford Bridge for the first time since his sacking in April 2023 and humorously noted that visiting was “part of the therapy process.”
Reflecting on His Time at Chelsea
Potter, who was dismissed after less than seven months in charge, has not taken on a managerial role since leaving Chelsea. Ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Arsenal, the 49-year-old shared mixed reflections on his tenure.
He told Sky Sports:
“Yeah, really good, first time I have been back. Happy memories here and some challenging ones but nevertheless a fantastic club and I am grateful for the opportunity I had to work here – it’s a special place.”
Potter also joked that returning to Stamford Bridge was “part of the therapy process” and highlighted Chelsea’s run to the Champions League quarter-finals as a particular point of pride.
