Henrik Rydström: “We Didn’t Deserve to Lose”

Following Malmö’s 2-1 loss to Besiktas in the fourth week of the UEFA Europa League, Malmö’s head coach, Henrik Rydström, expressed disappointment, claiming his team didn’t deserve the defeat.

Speaking at the post-match press conference at Tupras Stadium, Rydström said, “We created clear chances. This was an undeserved loss. Beşiktaş converted their opportunities into goals, whereas we couldn’t capitalize on ours. After falling behind, we struggled to recover. Looking at the match as a whole, I believe we were the side that deserved the victory.”

Despite Malmö’s efforts, Beşiktas’s efficiency in front of goal proved decisive, leaving Rydström and his team to regroup as they look forward to their next match in the competition.
