Ian Wright has accused Manchester United of neglecting their women’s team, citing issues with the team’s facilities and recent comments made by head coach Marc Skinner. The Arsenal legend expressed frustration over the treatment of United’s women’s squad, who have been relocated from their training facilities to prioritize the men’s side.

Over the past year, the women’s team has faced disruptions, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a minority owner, describing the project as a “work in progress.” Wright took issue with this, questioning when the women’s team would receive the attention and resources they deserve. “When is that going to be?” Wright asked. “You look at the men’s team and how far they are off it at the minute. When are they actually going to take notice of the women’s?”

Criticism of Marc Skinner’s Interview
Wright also took aim at Marc Skinner for his response to fans after United’s goalless draw with Aston Villa. Skinner had defended his team by describing it as a “new project,” but Wright criticized his tone, likening it to the fictional character David Brent from The Office. “The way he carried himself in that interview was very Brent-ish,” Wright remarked, implying that the comments lacked seriousness and professionalism.
