Ibrahima Konate subtly expressed his disappointment on social media after his former club, RB Leipzig, chose to honour Liverpool teammate Dominik Szoboszlai but did not extend similar recognition to him before their Champions League encounter.

Liverpool edged out Leipzig with a 1-0 win, and while Szoboszlai received a formal tribute from the German club in the form of a Red Bull statue to celebrate his three-year tenure, Konate, who spent four seasons at Leipzig and was a pivotal part of their defense, was not acknowledged in any official capacity.

Following the tribute, Konate took to Instagram and responded cryptically to Leipzig’s post about Szoboszlai with a simple ‘…’. The understated message conveyed his surprise and possible frustration at the lack of recognition for his time and contributions at Leipzig.
