Magnussen on Sauber’s list for 2025

Kevin Magnussen said that they had contact with Sauber during the year.
Sauber last week agreed on a deal with Gabriel Bortoleto to join Nico Hulkenberg as their teammate.

However, during the season it emerged that the team was interested in Kevin Magnussen, who decided to part ways with Haas.

Magnussen said that contacts between the two sides had become more frequent, especially before the departure of team boss Andreas Seidl.

The Danish driver said: “When the team was working with Andreas Seidl, I knew they were showing interest in me.

“But I haven’t heard anything else about it since his departure.”

“I have the option to stay at Haas in a different role,” Magnussen said, explaining his future plans.

“I actually have some interesting options for the future, but I don’t want to make a decision right now.”

“Of course I don’t want to deny anything, but I don’t want to make any promises right now either.”

“I need to see all my options and understand what the future holds for me,” he said.
