Three-time world champion Max Verstappen spoke to SPORT BILD about his aggressive driving style, his rivalry with Lando Norris, and questions regarding Lewis Hamilton’s potential move to Ferrari.

The Dutch driver remarked that comparisons between his driving style and legends like Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna don’t hold much importance for him, saying, “I don’t care; I just want to win. I always give my all for that. Maybe that’s why people associate me with drivers like Michael, who was also relentless in his pursuit of success, both in driving style and in car development. There was no room for fear.”

Discussing his rivalry with Lando Norris, Verstappen said, “Lando is a great driver, but I don’t have a single rival who makes my life a nightmare. Teams are very close, and every race weekend plays out differently. Some cars work better on certain tracks, and the same goes for drivers.”

Responding to questions about Hamilton’s potential move from Mercedes to Ferrari, Verstappen commented, “I don’t care. Whether Lewis is in a red or silver car doesn’t matter to me because I want to beat every driver in any car. However, I understand the interest in his potential move; it’s good for Formula 1. It will be interesting to see how he and Charles would work together in the same team.”

Verstappen, addressing Hamilton’s view of joining Ferrari as a childhood dream, added, “I look at things pragmatically. I want to win, and I aim to be where I can do that best. Right now, that’s Red Bull. I don’t secretly dream of wearing a red suit. Ferrari is an incredible brand and has achieved a lot in this sport. Lewis is making a logical move by seizing the opportunity.”

Talking about speculation over his own future, Verstappen emphasized that performance remains the defining factor: “I want to be in a car capable of fighting for wins and championships. But the working environment is also important. If you can’t identify with the team and its people, then you won’t enjoy this job.”

“I’m happy with the work I’m doing now and want to keep it up. I’m not searching for change, so speculation is unnecessary. Ultimately, the decision is mine, and right now, I don’t see the need for any change.”
