Mohammed Kudus Handed Extended Suspension and Fine after Altercation During Spurs Clash
Mohammed Kudus, a midfielder for West Ham, received a lengthy five-game suspension and a hefty £60,000 fine after being sent off against Tottenham.
Kudus fouled Micky van de Ven during West Ham’s 4-1 loss to Spurs, then pushed him and made contact with Richarlison and Pape Sarr. As a result, VAR upgraded Kudus’s original yellow card to a straight red. The Football Association has increased his original three-game suspension to five games as a result of this event.
Kudus will miss important Premier League games in the near future, and West Ham has been fined £30,000 for not keeping their players under control during the altercation. Kudus apologized for the incident, admitting that he was “deeply embarrassed” by the moment.
