Ben Simmons is in the final year of the five-year, $177.2 million contract he signed with the Sixers back in 2019. The 28-year-old was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in February 2022 but has seen limited playing time since. Over the past two seasons, Simmons has played in just 57 games and appeared in only 15 games during the 2023/24 season due to a back injury. In his Nets career, Simmons has averaged 6.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game.

Although Embiid has also dealt with health issues throughout his career, he has not been sidelined as often as Simmons. The seven-time All-Star won his first MVP award in 2023 despite the challenges he has faced.
