Okan Buruk makes system and lineup revisions

Galatasaray’s coach, who favors a two-striker formation, made six changes compared to the last PAOK match.

Galatasaray Head Coach Okan Buruk made significant adjustments both in system and lineup for the Kasımpaşa match. Deploying a 4-4-2 formation, Buruk made six changes from the team that played against PAOK in the Europa League. In the midst of a busy rotation, the successful coach rested some of his players and replaced Günay, Kaan Ayhan, Sanchez, Torreira, Barış Alper, and Mertens with Muslera, Jelert, Nelsson, Kerem Demirbay, Sallai, and Icardi. For the first time, Galatasaray’s top scorer of the last two seasons, Icardi, and new star signing Victor Osimhen were included in the starting lineup together. New signing Sallai also earned his first starting opportunity.
