World Cup winner Paul Pogba, who plays for Juventus, received a long-term suspension from football in February 2024. This suspension was issued after Pogba failed doping tests in 2023. The French midfielder was found to have high levels of testosterone, and his ‘B’ sample also tested positive. As a result, the 31-year-old player is unable to train with Juventus or play for them. Pogba is now taking his case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Pogba’s Statements

Speaking to Forbes about his suspension, Pogba said: “It’s hard to be completely honest. Football has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. But I have my family, faith, friends, and supportive fans, which makes things easier. Everything will be okay.”

Efforts to Clear His Name

Regarding his efforts to clear his name, Pogba added: “Although I can’t talk much about it, all roads lead to the appeal date. Until then, my focus is on staying fit and looking forward to the appeal.”

Pogba’s Future

Pogba has a contract with Juventus until 2026, which is currently reduced to the minimum possible amount. In this scenario, the former Manchester United star will not be able to play again until August 2027, when he will be 35 years old.
