Paulista’s Situation Clarified at Besiktas

Gabriel Paulista’s status at Besiktas has become clear. The experienced center-back, who was injured in the away match against Gaziantep FK, is unlikely to participate in the TUMOSAN Konyaspor match.

It has been reported that Paulista’s treatment is ongoing, and he is expected to miss the match scheduled for October 20. The Brazilian defender suffered an injury during the Gaziantep match, where examinations revealed a strain and partial tear in his left upper thigh muscle.

However, Paulista is expected to return to the field for the Galatasaray derby on October 28. He has started in 11 of Besiktas’s 12 official matches this season, contributing with 1 goal and 1 assist in addition to his solid defensive performance.

Paulista also experienced an injury due to a blow in the Samsunspor match, forcing him to leave the game at halftime. The experienced player managed to recover quickly and returned to the squad the following week.

Meanwhile, Besiktas’s head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst has given the team a 4-day break. The black-and-white team will resume training next Tuesday. It is understood that the Dutch coach wanted the team to spend time with their families and recharge before the challenging fixture list ahead.
