Prosinecki on Turkey: “I Am Sure They Will Advance from the Group”

After Montenegro’s 1-0 defeat to Turkey in their third match of Group 4 in the UEFA Nations League, head coach Robert Prosinecki made some remarks. In the post-match press conference, Prosinecki stated that they faced a very high-quality and good team.

He explained that they had opportunities to take the lead during counterattacks but failed to do so. “They maintained superiority over us throughout the match. We had two chances, but considering the outcome, it was a very good match with high entertainment value. I congratulate Turkey on their victory. Turkey has achieved 2 wins and 1 draw in the group, while we have suffered 3 losses. We need to focus on our upcoming match against Wales. Turkey is the favorite in this group, and I am sure they will advance,” he expressed.

Prosinecki also assured that Montenegro’s future is in good hands, noting, “We knew Turkey would play aggressively. Sometimes, if you seize a chance, you can score a goal, but we couldn’t find that opportunity in this match.”
