“Tadic and Mourinho Being Here Was Important”

Fenerbahçe’s new signing Filip Kostic said, “Dusan Tadic and Jose Mourinho being here was one of the important reasons for me.”
In a statement to FBTV, the Serbian player highlighted the key role that his national teammate Dusan Tadic and world-renowned Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho played in his decision to join Fenerbahçe.
Expressing his happiness about being at Fenerbahçe, the 31-year-old winger said, “I’m very excited and can’t wait to train with my teammates. Honestly, from day one, I wanted to come to Fenerbahçe. Dusan Tadic and Jose Mourinho being here were important reasons for me. Tadic is one of my best friends, we’ve been together for a long time in the national team. So, I’m really, really happy to play with him again at Fenerbahçe.”
Kostic emphasized that Jose Mourinho is one of the greatest coaches in the world and that he will do his best to give everything for the club and its fans.
The experienced left winger also noted that reuniting with Tadic in the same team again has motivated him, and he concluded his remarks as follows:
“When I was playing at Groningen, I was really unlucky; I honestly couldn’t play much. It was really hard to replace Tadic and take his spot. Of course, I will give my best. Dusan Tadic is the best player, I can say that, and I’ve always wanted to play with him. We’ve already been together in the national team for a few years, so reuniting at club level again makes me very happy. Of course, it will be great to play with both him and my other teammates. It’s a pleasure to fight for this great club.”
