Tottenham suffered a 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray in a thrilling Europa League encounter that saw Victor Osimhen score twice for the hosts. Despite a late fightback from Ange Postecoglou’s side, it was not enough to overturn the deficit.

Tottenham responded swiftly, with a brilliant pass from Archie Gray finding Brennan Johnson, who set up 19-year-old Will Lankshear for his first senior goal to level the score.
Osimhen’s Double and Galatasaray’s Onslaught
Galatasaray resumed their attacking dominance, with Osimhen seeing an initial goal ruled out in the 30th minute. However, he quickly made up for it by scoring two minutes later, restoring the lead with a powerful shot into the bottom corner. The Nigerian striker added a second goal after another relentless attack, leaving Tottenham’s goalkeeper Fraser Forster helpless.
Galatasaray’s attacking intent was clear throughout, as they registered an impressive 28 shots on goal. Despite their relentless pressure, Tottenham managed to stay within reach, thanks in part to Forster’s efforts in goal.
Lankshear’s Red Card and Late Spurs Response
Tottenham’s comeback hopes took a blow when Lankshear received a second yellow card and was sent off for a rash challenge. However, the 10-man Spurs side rallied, with substitute Dominic Solanke scoring to reduce the deficit to 3-2.
The London club pressed for an equalizer, and Dejan Kulusevski nearly completed the comeback with an audacious long-range attempt after spotting the goalkeeper off his line, but his shot missed the target.
