Trent Alexander-Arnold Nearing Liverpool Exit as Club Hesitates on Salary Demand
Given Liverpool’s unwillingness to pay the defender what he demands, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future there is in question.
Three of Liverpool’s most important players—Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold—have begun contract negotiations with the club. Their current contracts are coming to an end. Reports state that whilst talks with Van Dijk are progressing, they have stagnated with Alexander-Arnold. According to reports, the club is reluctant to pay the 26-year-old full-back more than Salah and Van Dijk, who receive £350,000 and £220,000 a week, respectively.
European Giants’ Interest
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Alexander-Arnold, who currently makes £180,000 a week. According to reports, both teams are willing to pay far more than Liverpool, which would make a possible departure from Anfield more alluring if the Reds are unable to satisfy his wage demands.
