VERSTAPPEN: “IT’S GREAT TO COME FROM BEHIND AND WIN”

Max Verstappen achieved a magnificent success by winning the race he started from 17th place in the Sao Paulo GP.

Verstappen, who managed to stay calm throughout the race, finished the race at the top with the right strategic moves and great transitions.

Verstappen told Sky Sports after the win: “Today, my feelings were almost like a rollercoaster. We were very unlucky because of the red flag in the qualifying rounds. It would also be very difficult to start from the 17th row.”

“Also, it was very difficult to cross here with the new asphalt. I knew I had to be decisive in my moves. It was possible to lock the front wheel, but I was confident in braking. The first turn is always a great crossing point.”

“We stayed away from problems, made the right moves, stayed calm and took flight. All of this came together. Unbelievable. It’s great to come and win here.”
