Volkan Demirel: “We Will Work to Win”

Sipay Bodrum FK’s head coach, Volkan Demirel, shared his thoughts ahead of the Corendon Alanyaspor match, saying, “Even with limited time before the game, we’ll do everything we can to secure a win.” Preparing at the Yaliciftlik Ismail Altindag Facilities, the green-and-white team aims to leave the field victorious.

Sipay Bodrum FK is currently 13th in the league with 10 points. Coach Volkan Demirel spoke to the press, outlining some of his plans for the team. He mentioned they have a specific strategy for countering Alanyaspor’s game, saying, “Despite the short preparation time, we’ll give our best effort to win. I knew this team had a strong energy both on and off the field, but being a part of it, I feel that energy even more intensely. There is a strong sense of belonging and a family atmosphere here.”

Demirel expressed confidence that the team will achieve significant success in the long term, adding, “I try to speak with the players whenever possible. Since my arrival, we’ve held two meetings. The first was primarily for introductions, and in the second, I discussed my tactical approach. Changes like these don’t happen overnight. The team has an established structure; we’re not here to tear it down and rebuild but rather to enhance what’s already in place. Over time, we’ll raise that structure higher.
