Wade Baldwin: “We’ve Had Ups and Downs, But We’re Finding Our Rhythm”

Fenerbahce Beko star Wade Baldwin shared his thoughts on the victory over Partizan following the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague seventh-week matchup, where Fenerbahce defeated Partizan at home, closing out the double-game week with two wins.

In the game, Baldwin spent 29 minutes on the court, finishing with 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 8 assists. After the match, he shared the following insights:

“Today, we played at a much faster pace than in previous games. We were quick and capitalized on our shot opportunities. Defensively, we fought hard for about three and a half quarters, making scoring difficult for our opponent. This was our seventh EuroLeague game, and although we’ve experienced some ups and downs leading up to this, we’re finding our rhythm. We’re in a good place.

For me, adjusting to a new system wasn’t easy. I struggled a bit, but I’m getting used to it now, and I made a significant impact with my assists today. I focused on doing the right things on the court, working to increase the tempo, and connecting my teammates with the ball. We have incredible shooters on this team, and it was a great team win.

Tarik is still a very ‘underrated’ player. He’s truly a special shooter who can come out and change the game at any moment. That’s what makes this team unique; we have many players who can step up. In the previous game, Devon (Hall) was outstanding, and today Nigel and Tarik were excellent. Hopefully, we can keep this momentum going.”
