Razer showcased several new gaming gadgets and improvements at its annual RazerCon event, including unique haptic devices and the re-release of a legendary gaming mouse. The demonstration, hosted by CEO Min-Liang Tan, unveiled a haptic gaming cushion, the Kraken V4 Pro headset, a laptop cooling pad, a revised Synapse software suite, and the return of the Boomslang gaming mouse to commemorate Razer’s 20th anniversary.
To commemorate Razer’s two-decade anniversary, the Boomslang, one of the earliest gaming mice ever produced, will be released in extremely limited quantities in 2025. The classic shape will not change, but the internals will be updated to meet modern gaming requirements.
The Freyja is Razer’s new haptic gaming cushion.
Among the new choices, the Freyja haptic gaming cushion stands out. The cushion, which has six haptic motors, is intended to improve gaming immersion by vibrating in response to in-game actions. Freyja is compatible with the majority of gaming and office chairs, and it enables Bluetooth and wireless networking. Its applications go beyond gaming, enhancing the experience of viewing movies, listening to music, and playing on mobile devices and PCs. The cushion’s settings will be changeable using Razer’s new Synapse software.
Continuing the haptic trend, Razer released the Kraken V4 Pro headset, an enhanced version of the Kraken V4 that debuted barely a month ago. The Pro model includes haptic feedback for a more immersive experience, an OLED control panel, and extensive customization options. One of its notable features is the ability to combine audio from both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth sources at the same time, which is a Razer first.
Laptop Cooling Pad to Improve Gaming Performance.
Razer also introduced the Razer Laptop Cooling Pad, geared at gamers who want to keep their computers functioning smoothly during intense sessions. The pad has RGB lights, a huge 140mm fan, and an airtight design for better cooling, which might reduce CPU and GPU temps by almost 18%. The new Razer Blade 18 (2024) laptops will offer Thunderbolt sharing, which allows for high-speed peripheral and file sharing between two laptops.
Razer’s Synapse software, which serves as the control center for all Razer devices, will be significantly updated to match the new hardware while also improving efficiency, speed, and responsiveness. The new app will have a more intuitive user interface, easier access to features like SnapTap, and seamless connectivity with Razer’s expanding product ecosystem.
An Exciting Lineup for Gamers!
The product announcements at RazerCon highlight the brand’s ongoing innovation in gaming peripherals, with the goal of improving immersion and performance for all gamers. Razer’s future product selection, which includes both refurbished classics and cutting-edge devices, illustrates the company’s commitment to providing high-quality, customized hardware for all types of players.
