RB to switch to RB20 rear suspension and gearbox for remaining three races

Red Bull’s rear suspension and gearbox this year will also be used by RB for the remaining three races.

With three races left in the season, the update work for the Visa RB cars continues; some of the parts used in the Red Bull Racing RB20 will be added to the VCARB01.

According to PlanetF1, the RB20’s rear suspension and gearbox will be added to the VCARB01 car for the remaining three races.

Such a step by Red Bull would be critical for RB’s fight for 6th place in the championship.

Alpine F1, which moved up to 6th place in the championship after the double podium in Sao Paulo, currently has 49 points. It is followed by Haas F1 with 46 points and Visa RB with 44 points.

With these two important updates to the car, RB will try to leave these two teams behind in the championship battle.

Red Bull made a similar move in Singapore last year, where the updated rear suspension was fitted to the RB cars. 

According to the rules, customer teams can buy suspension and gearboxes from other teams.
