Record Opening with James’ Mark

The 2024-2025 NBA season kicked off yesterday with two games. In the opening match, the defending champion Boston Celtics defeated the New York Knicks 132-109 at home. The Celtics made 29 three-pointers in the game, tying the record for the most three-point shots made in a game, previously held by the Milwaukee Bucks (28 three-pointers against Miami on December 28, 2020).

Father and Son in the Same Game

The second game of the season featured the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves, marking a historic moment in the NBA. LeBron James became the first player in NBA history to play alongside his son, Bronny. The Lakers won the game 110-103, with Anthony Davis contributing 36 points, 16 rebounds, and 4 assists, while LeBron James added 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Bronny recorded 1 rebound.
