Ruben Amorim Takes Charge of Manchester United’s Transfer Plans Ahead of Signing
Manchester United, having had one of the worst starts in its history, recently parted ways with Erik Ten Hag. The club has reached an agreement with Sporting CP’s head coach, Ruben Amorim, as Ten Hag’s successor, though Amorim has yet to sign his contract. United is set to pay Sporting €10 million for Amorim’s release.
Amorim’s Immediate Transfer Moves
According to a report from TeamTalk, Amorim has already identified several players he wants out of the squad to revamp the team before officially taking charge. Among those Amorim reportedly wants to offload are Antony, Casemiro, Victor Lindelöf, and Christian Eriksen.
With the club aiming to comply with Premier League Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, Manchester United’s management has decided to avoid new signings unless there are player sales. This policy exempts young talents like Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund, who are considered essential to the club’s future. However, the club is reportedly open to selling Marcus Rashford, with a valuation set at £60 million.
As Amorim prepares to take the reins, these early transfer decisions reflect his intent to reshape Manchester United and put them on a path to success in the coming seasons.
