Samsunspor Advances in Bayburt via Penalties

In the 3rd round of the Turkish Cup, Samsunspor defeated Bayburt Ozel Idare Spor, a 3rd League team, on penalties to secure their place in the 4th round. Currently ranked second in the Super League, Samsunspor faced Bayburt Ozel Idare away in the Turkish Cup’s 3rd round.

Held at the Genc Osman Stadium, the match ended scoreless in regular time and extra time. Samsunspor triumphed 4-2 in the penalty shootout. Bayburt Ozel Idare’s Cihan Aydin and Mikail Albayrak, along with Samsunspor’s Emre Koroglu, Yunus Emre Cift, Schindler, and Soner Gonul, scored in the shootout. Although Bayburt Ozel Idare came close to scoring in regular time, even hitting the post, they bowed out of the cup after penalties.
