Beşiktaş Vice President Hüseyin Yücel and Football Branch Manager Feyyaz Uçar visited the Çanakkale 1915 Beşiktaş Supporters Association.
Speaking during the visit, Hüseyin Yücel stated, “From time to time, we visit the associations that proudly wave the Beşiktaş flag in various provinces alongside our coach Feyyaz. We gather information about their activities. Today, we are in Çanakkale. We place great importance on these associations as they represent Beşiktaş in the best way possible in different cities. I would like to thank the president and all board members for hosting us. Hopefully, we will win the Trabzonspor match on Sunday and give the best gift to the entire Beşiktaş community,” he said.
“THE MATCH WILL BE PLAYED IN ISTANBUL”
Addressing rumors about the possibility of playing the Maccabi Tel Aviv match on neutral ground, Yücel stated, “The Israeli team did not make an official appeal to UEFA. There were only a few news reports in the media about this. They attempted to push for it and tried to lobby, but thanks to our firm stance, they did not make any formal request to FIFA. I believe, with 99% certainty, unless any issues arise, we will host them in Istanbul, and the match will be played here.”
“WE’VE HAD A GOOD START, BUT WE’RE STAYING GROUNDED”
Commenting on the team’s situation in the Super League and UEFA Europa League, Yücel said, “I always say, we have a dream this year, but I don’t want to talk about it too much. We’ve had a good start, but we are staying grounded. We’re not flying above the clouds. They say things go as they begin. Now we have a tough away game against Trabzon ahead, and we want to get through that successfully and continue on our path.”
“WE’VE PARTED WAYS WITH 36 PLAYERS AND REINFORCED THE TEAM”
Regarding foreign players who do not want to leave the club, Yücel explained, “To give a brief update, so far, including both incoming and outgoing players, we’ve parted ways with 36 players and made reinforcements to the team. This is not an easy feat in just three months, considering the heavy contracts of our current players. Right now, we are in talks with only Daniel Amartey. Unless there are any issues, we aim to reach an agreement before the transfer window closes.”
FEYYAZ UÇAR: IT’S NICE TO BE BACK IN ÇANAKKALE
Football Branch Manager Feyyaz Uçar also commented, saying, “I had previously worked as an assistant coach for Çanakkale Dardanelspor. I spent a very enjoyable six months here. It’s great to be back and to see you again, and it’s even better to be in the home of Beşiktaş supporters. I would like to thank Hüseyin for inviting me on this trip. Hopefully, we will continue the rest of the season as we started after the Trabzon match.”
