Tacko Fall Set to Join New Zealand Breakers for US Tour, Will Face NBA Teams
Tacko Fall, the towering 2.29-meter (7’6″) center, has found a new home with the New Zealand Breakers, where he’ll join the squad for their upcoming US tour. The Breakers, who compete in the Australian NBL, announced that Fall will be part of their roster for three exhibition games against NBA teams in October.
Fall, known for his shot-blocking ability and imposing presence, will suit up for the Breakers as they take on the Utah Jazz on October 4th, the Philadelphia 76ers on October 7th, and the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 10th (US dates).
The Senegalese big man has had a well-traveled career. Most recently, he played in Puerto Rico for the Piratas de Quebradillas, where he teamed up with former NBA lottery pick Emmanuel Mudiay. Before that, Fall spent two seasons in China’s CBA, continuing to develop his game.
Speaking on his new opportunity, Fall expressed his excitement, saying:
“I’m excited to be part of this squad and to represent the BNZ Breakers. The opportunity to compete against NBA teams again is a great challenge, and I’m looking forward to doing whatever I can to help the club.”
Fans will be eager to see Fall take the floor again, especially in a familiar setting against NBA competition, where he previously played with the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers.
