Thomas Tuchel Officially Named England Manager Ahead of 2026 World Cup Campaign

Before the 2026 World Cup campaign, England’s manager is officially named as Thomas Tuchel.

The England national team has officially appointed Thomas Tuchel as its new manager. His job is to guide the Three Lions to possible triumph in the 2026 World Cup.

Tuchel’s appointment as England’s manager was officially confirmed by the Football Association on Wednesday. His 18-month contract will remain in effect until the end of the 2026 World Cup. The German coach, who was successful throughout his tenures at Chelsea and Bayern Munich, takes over as England’s manager after Gareth Southgate.

Anthony Barry will serve as Tuchel’s assistant when he starts his position on January 1, 2025. With the World Cup coming up in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Tuchel has the chance to lead England to its first significant international championship since 1966.
