Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea Connections Deepen

Hilario, the goalkeeping coach of Chelsea, is apparently in negotiations to coach the England national team under Thomas Tuchel.

The Football Association (FA) is looking for elite personnel to help Tuchel throughout the 2026 World Cup campaign as they get ready for his appointment as England manager starting in 2025. One of the main candidates to join Chelsea as a goalkeeping coach is Hilario, who joined the team in 2016 and collaborated with Tuchel during that time.

The Telegraph claims that Chelsea is now willing to let Hilario go on a full-time basis, which is in accordance with Hilario’s openness to the new post, even though they first contemplated a part-time arrangement allowing him to work with both the club and the national team.
